What is the first step to getting started with tutoring?
Yes, Strive offers in-person tutoring throughout Portland and surrounding communities, including Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tigard, and Milwaukie. Online tutoring is also available for families who prefer the flexibility of virtual support.
Does Strive offer both in-person and online tutoring in Portland?
Yes, every tutoring plan is tailored to the individual student. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all curriculum, tutors adapt their instruction based on each student's strengths, learning profile, and long-term goals.
Can tutoring be personalized to my child's unique learning needs?
Yes, collaboration is a crucial part of how we support students. We keep families informed through regular communication and Quarterly Progress Reports. With parent permission, tutors can also collaborate with teachers and other members of a student's support team to create greater consistency across home, school, and tutoring.
Does Strive work alongside parents and schools?
Strive works with students who have dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, executive functioning challenges, and other learning differences. We also support students who do not have a formal diagnosis but would benefit from more specialized instruction and support.
