Skills like planning ahead, managing time, and staying organized don’t develop automatically for every child, especially those with executive functioning challenges.
When these skills lag behind, it’s easy to misinterpret the struggle as laziness or a lack of motivation. In reality, many students simply haven’t explicitly been taught executive functioning skills needed to manage the demands of school successfully.
At Strive, we provide personalized executive functioning coaching that helps students build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed inside and outside of school.
Help students become more self-aware, confident, and independent over time.

Strive currently offers personalized executive functioning coaching for K-12 students in Denver, Colorado Springs, Portland, and Seattle. We also provide online executive functioning coaching nationwide for families who are outside these areas or prefer online support.
Strive monitors progress through individualized goals, student and parent feedback, coach observations, assignment completion, and changes in consistency and independence. Families also receive regular communication and Quarterly Progress Reports that explain the student’s growth, current priorities, and next steps.
Academic tutoring primarily focuses on understanding subject-area content and strengthening academic skills. Executive function coaching focuses on how students approach their work, including how they plan, organize, begin, complete, and evaluate tasks. Strive can combine both services when a student needs academic and executive functioning support.
Executive function coaches help students develop personalized systems for organization, planning, prioritization, time management, task initiation, working memory, self-monitoring, and emotional regulation. Strategies are always adapted to the student’s age, strengths, and learning profile.
Your child may benefit if they frequently forget assignments, lose materials, procrastinate, underestimate how long tasks will take, struggle to begin work, or depend heavily on reminders. Strive supports students with ADHD and other learning differences, as well as students without a formal diagnosis.
Executive function coaching helps students strengthen the skills they use to plan, organize, manage time, begin tasks, stay focused, and follow through. Strive coaches teach practical strategies that help students manage school responsibilities with greater confidence and independence.
