A. ARLANDER

“Brian has been terrific, his observations and suggestions have been super-helpful, and we are armed with the knowledge we need to continue in a growth pattern for the rest of high school."

“Brian’s data over the course of the school year was impressive. The number of students who grew over a year and half in either reading or math (or both!) was overwhelming."

SCHEILA F

“My daughter needed some intervention in reading, and Brian made a huge difference. I highly recommend Brian. He is a great teacher and tutor.”

Danyel W

“Brian has been working with our son for the last year. Our son went from barely being able to read a word to this morning reading a chapter.”

diana g

"Our daughter struggles with math and gets frustrated easily, but Brian always makes her feel at ease and more confident at the end of their sessions. We are forever grateful for him in helping our daughter better understand math and reading."

kelly f

“My niece was severely behind in math and reading when she started working with Brian. By the end of the year, she was on grade level in math and reading! She made tremendous improvements. We cannot recommend him enough!"

faq's

The Self-Directed Student is a personalized learning software that empowers your student to learn what, when, and how they want to learn. Regardless of if you are buying licenses for an entire school district or just your children that you homeschool, the process is the same.

In essence, the Self-Directed Student enables students to create their very own course to take.

Your students will begin by setting up their own Learning Plan. They will self-select topics and learning goals of high interest, and then search for resources that help them achieve their goals. Once they schedule out their learning, they will then begin to learn using their own Learning Plan.

How does the SDS work?

Students so rarely have a voice in their learning, leading many to checkout, underperform, or hyperfocus on testing. We believe education is fundamentally a human right and that all students should be able to learn in a manner tailored to their needs and interests.

Too many students are skilled at getting by in school, while so few students truly know how to learn on their own. The SDS intends to empower students to learn on their own, while also setting them up for a lifetime of learning.

The Self-Directed Student is the first and only true personalized learning software. Students are fully in control of their learning, selecting when, what, and how they want to learn.
