The assessment process involves three steps:

Schedule Your Child’s FREEE Consultation: We will discuss your academic concerns for your child and determine what assessment package makes the most sense for your child.
Assess Your Child: I will meet 1:1 with your child and conduct the specified assessment(s).
Discuss Results: We will schedule a free 15 minute consultation to discuss results and actionable next steps.

What does the assessment process involve?

The KTEA-3 varies in time it takes to complete based on grade level:

Prek-K (30 Minutes)
Grades 1-2 (50 Minutes)
Grades 3+ (80 Minutes)

How long does an assessment take?

You and your child can benefit greatly from a comprehensive educational assessment, even if they are not significantly behind academically.

Some reasons why parents get their child assessed is if they are curious about their child’s academic progress, desire to know how to best support them, and if they want to provide their child’s school with useful information about their child.

Why should I get my child assessed?

Your child’s comprehensive assessment is no added cost with the purchase of 10 or more tutoring sessions. It is simply the cost of one session.

If you are solely looking for an assessment, payment must be made before the assessment is administered.

When do I pay for the assessment?

Educational Assessments take place online via Zoom or in the Arvada / Golden / Denver area.

Where does the assessment take place?

Strive Learning Solutions utilizes the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement | Third Edition (KTEA-3).

The KTEA-3 is an individually administered battery that provides an in-depth assessment and evaluation of foundational academic skills in reading, writing, math, and oral language. It is used for students aged 4 - 25 and for grades Pre-K through 12.

The KTEA-3 is used to:

Measures academic progress
Help identify learning disabilities
Identify learning gaps and useful interventions for parents and teachers

What assessments does Strive Learning Solutions use?

You will get results back within one week of your student taking the assessment. We will schedule the follow-up consultation before your child is assessed.

How long does it take to get results back?

Strive Learning Solutions will provide you with with an easy-to-understand report that includes:

Descriptions of each test your child took
Graphs and charts showing your child’s performance in comparison to their peers based on grade level, percentiles, and standard scores.
Parent-Child intervention suggestions to support your child at home

How do I understand the test results?

Knowledge is power. Having your child assessed gives you insightful knowledge that can be used to help you:

Understand your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses
Support your child academically using effective strategies
Help you advocate for your child at school

What do I do with the test results?

In addition to dyslexia, Strive supports learners with ADHD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, processing disorders, executive functioning, autism, and other learning disabilities.
